7 New Race Cars We'd Like to See in Le Mans Ultimate

Le Mans Ultimate is going from strength to strength, with a December 2025 update adding several often-requested features – principally with improving multiplayer driving standards in mind – and the game hitting a new all-time player peak.‍2026 looks set to continue this upward trend, and as the official sim racing title of the real-world FIA World Endurance Championship (and European Le Mans Series), there should be several new cars in development.‍ This season sees a deluge of new or heavily updated machinery across the Hypercar, LMGT3 and LMP3 classes, which LMU replicates. ‍While only one of the machines mentioned here is confirmed for virtual recreation, we’d be shocked if the remaining six didn’t make it into the game later this year.

1. Duqueine D09 LMP3

This is the confirmed model in question, which will complete the current ongoing European Le Mans Series DLC Pass.

It is set to arrive in Q1 2026 (alongside Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya), next to the existing Ginetta and Ligier LMP3 machines. Much like those two, it will have a turbocharged V6 Toyota engine.

2. ADESS AD25 LMP3

This one is a curiosity, as the ADESS is another 2025-spec LMP3 race car, and therefore, you’d think it would be locked in to appear in Le Mans Ultimate. After all, the other three models are part of the aforementioned ELMS pack.

However, no one has entered one in that Europe-based championship, so it doesn’t appear in the game.

It does compete in the Le Mans Cup series, however, which is run by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, much like WEC and ELMS. That means there’s a chance, especially if the game’s creators, Motorsport Games, want to expand the upcoming career mode.

3. BMW M Hybrid V8 ‘Evo’ Hypercar

Above LMP3 sits LMP2, and above that sits the premier Hypercar class, which will also will see a raft of entrants upgrading their cars for the 2026 season.

Of those, BMW will introduce an ‘Evo’ spec version of its M Hybrid V8, which, outside of American IMSA events, hasn’t been a top performer. While most of the car will remain unchanged, the front end has been completely redesigned, with noticeable changes to lighting, air intakes and aerodynamics.

This would make the current model in Le Mans Ultimate look out of date, so let’s hope there is an upgrade soon.

4. Genesis GMR-001 Hypercar

Unlike the BMW, the Genesis is an all-new car built from the ground up. This is because the Hyundai-created luxury brand is entering sports car racing for the very first time.

It’s all part of an effort to change Genesis’ positioning in the road car market and provide additional exposure to the burgeoning Korean brand. There are some talented engineers and drivers involved, so it could spring a surprise this year.

5. Toyota TR010 HYBRID Hypercar

Toyota was the first manufacturer to commit to the Hypercar rules back in 2021, and consequently, was very successful.

However, with more rivals than ever, recent seasons have been comparative struggles, so the Japanese company has now introduced a heavily updated TR010.

Unlike the aforementioned BMW, it’s more than a nose job, but also unlike the Genesis, it is not all-new.

Every exterior body panel and aero adornment is new, and there are said to be significant mechanical upgrades under the skin, too.

6. Toyota GR LMGT3

It’s another new Toyota, but in the LMGT3 category this time, and it's rather exciting. Toyota has created a dedicated front-engined, rear-wheel-drive, hybrid V8 supercar and the Japanese brand is then taking it racing.

For 2026, it will enter the venerable Lexus RC F in FIA WEC, but the new GR will be competing for the first time this year in Japan, before it is set to be phased into other competitions.

7. Porsche 911 GT3 R 2026

There are numerous upgrades for existing LMGT3 cars this season, such as the Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo and the Ford Mustang GT3 Evo, and all need to be represented in Le Mans Ultimate.

But the prancing and feral horses only have minor changes, whereas the Porsche 911 features more noticeable tweaks. There are updated suspension settings, but more visibly, there are giant louvres on the front wings and a completely new rear spoiler.

Alongside the new vehicles, we also expect additional circuits, a career mode and even more changes to the core Le Mans Ultimate experience across the next 12 months.
