Le Mans Ultimate’s New LMP3 Cars Explained

Le Mans Ultimate is the official game of the FIA World Endurance Championship, but it now also represents the European Le Mans Series, too, thanks to a recent update.‍ Alongside the release of the game’s v1.1 build, the first of three ELMS DLC packs was unveiled, adding Silverstone and the Ligier JS P325 car. Not only has this added one of the LMU community’s most-requested tracks, but it’s also added an entirely new car category to the game: LMP3.

What is LMP3?

LMP3 is a prototype racecar class designed for Pro-Am level teams and drivers, helping them develop all the necessary skills and racecraft to help them progress to the upper echelons of endurance racing.

Although LMP3 cars are designed to be user-friendly to drive than Hypercars and LMP2s, they are still performative: outputting around 470 bhp from their 3.5-litre V6 Toyota engines. They also don’t have ABS in ELMS spec, making them a trickier proposition to drive than the slower LMGT3 cars.

However, they do have traction control (like LMP2s and Hypercars), and are quick enough to achieve a top speed of 180 mph.

Which LMP3 Cars Will be Included in Le Mans Ultimate’s ELMS DLC?

There will be three LMP3 cars included in Le Mans Ultimate’s three ELMS DLC packs, with one in each. Starting with the Ligier, which is already available, the next two packs will include the Duqueine D09 and the Ginetta G61-LT-P3 Evo (as well as Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and  Circuit Paul Ricard).

The next ELMS DLC pack for Le Mans Ultimate is set to arrive before the end of the year, while the final pack is slated for release in Q1 2026. It is currently unknown which cars and tracks will be included in the second and third ELMS DLC.

Other LMP3 Chassis

A fourth current-gen LMP3 chassis is also available to motorsport customers, the ADESS AD25, but as this is not used by any teams in the 2025 ELMS, it won’t be included in Le Mans Ultimate.

However, this could change in future if the car is used in 2026 and if Le Mans Ultimate’s developers decide to include it.

How do the LMP3 Cars Drive?

These are prototype machines, but designed predominantly for amateur drivers, looking to reach the 24 Hours of Le Mans one day.
That means there is plenty of grip thanks to slick tyres and a high downforce aerodynamic package. There’s initial understeer at turn-in with the default setups, but drivers must be wary of the turbos kicking in on corner exit. That can cause a bout of oversteer, so short-shifting through gears should help minimise the chances of time loss, especially coming out of slower corners.

Lastly, the A-pillars are huge, and they are right-hand-drive, which dramatically decreases apex visibility. You must guess where your front right wheel is, and over time, you become accustomed to driving by feel and memory more than compared with a GT3 car, for example.

How Much is Le Mans Ultimate’s LMP3 DLC?

The first LMU ELMS pack, which includes Silverstone and the Ligier JS P325 LMP3, can be purchased for £8.99 / €9.99 / $11.99. A Season Pass, which includes all three ELMS DLC packs, is available at a discounted rate of £21.99 / €24.99 / $28.99.
