Le Mans Ultimate’s European Le Mans Series DLC Explained
Le Mans Ultimate’s v1.0 release arrived on 22nd July 2025, simulating the 2024-25 seasons of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), including all the cars and circuits from the real-world series. However, with WEC’s 2026 calendar featuring the same circuits and cars (minus the Porsche 963, which isn’t running in ‘26), the sim racing community’s thoughts have immediately turned to how LMU can supply its players with fresh, post-release content. Duly, LMU’s publisher Motorsport Games announced a three-part European Le Mans Series DLC, which would incorporate cars and tracks from the 2025 series, or at least those not already present in-game. What is the European Le Mans Series?
The European Le Mans Series (ELMS) is an endurance sportscar championship organised by the same body that runs the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans and WEC: the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO).
The ELMS is seen as a qualifying series for the great race at Le Mans, with the top two teams in the standings gaining automatic entries to the following year’s event.
LMP2 cars are only permitted to participate in the Le Mans round of WEC, and confusingly run with power restrictions so as not to compete with WEC’s top-class Hypercars.
What Type of Cars Run in the European Le Mans Series?
The fastest category in ELMS is LMP2, and these cars run unrestricted, unlike when they appear at Le Mans. The ELMS LMP2s were added to LMU as part of the game’s v1.1 update on 23rd September, 2025, and are freely available to all players.
All LMP2 teams in the ELMS use the Oreca 07 chassis, but other manufacturers are also allowed to compete. LMP3 and LMGT3 classes also race in ELMS, with the championship’s three LMP3 chassis manufacturers included in LMU’s ELMS DLC packs.
For 2025, the ACO introduced the ‘Generation III LMP3’ ruleset, and four manufacturers built chassis to this specification. Each chassis manufacturer is mandated to use a spec Toyota V6 twin-turbo engine, outputting around 470 bhp.
Eligible chassis for the ELMS’s LMP3 category include the ADESS AD25, Ligier JS P325, Ginetta G61-LT-P325-EVO and Duqueine D09.
LMP3 cars are essentially more approachable LMP2s, but with less downforce and power. Their role is to offer teams a steppingstone towards the upper echelons of endurance racing, with gentleman drivers often paired with young up-and-comers.
Which Cars and Tracks form LMU’s ELMS Packs?
When the ELMS DLC was announced for LMU, MSG revealed that it would contain the Ligier JS P325, Ginetta G61-LT-P325-EVO and Duqueine D09 LMP3 cars (unfortunately, the ADESS AD25 wasn’t used by any ELMS teams in 2025).
The three packs were also confirmed to contain the Silverstone, Circuit Paul Ricard and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya tracks.
When combined with its incumbent Imola, Spa-Francorchamps and Algarve International Circuit (Portimão) tracks, the full 2025-26 ELMS circuit roster will be available in LMU (pending the release of the ELMS Pack 3 in Q1 2026).

The exact details of LMU’s ELMS Pack 3 DLC are yet to be officially confirmed, but it has been slated for a Q1 2026 release.
By the process of elimination, the pack will contain the Duqueine D09 LMP3 and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
