To celebrate the anniversary, Psyonix is hosting a series of themed challenges inspired by Canadian electronic artist deadmau5, giving players a chance to win plenty of in-game rewards. Until 20th August at 11 PM PT, players can unlock 13 rewards, including 11 items inspired by deadmau5 and Rocket League’s 10th anniversary, by completing various time-limited challenges.

How to Unlock Rocket League’s deadmau5 Rewards

Playing a match with a teammate using the same Anthem as you will unlock deadmau5’s new “8ths” Anthem. Alternatively, you can win a deadmau5 Marble Topper if you gain three XP levels during the ‘Rocket League Year 10 ft. deadmau5’ event.

Two more rewards are unlocked by achieving specific goals in online matches. Getting seven assists or centers during an online match, and you’ll unlock the Synth-Sonic Boost. Scoring ten goals also unlocks the Bad Bass Trail.

Win three online matches in a row, and you’ll be rewarded with an Anniversary Crate. Accessing it in your inventory will unlock items from the Champion Series 1-4. However, if you lose a match, you only have five attempts to repeat this challenge.

As a bonus, skilled players who win ten online matches will gain 20,000 XP, with no limits on how many times the challenge can be repeated.

McLaren 570S + deadmau5 Bundle

On top of the new challenges, a new McLaren 570S bundle can be purchased with in-game credits. For 2,500 credits, the bundle includes the McLaren 570S Car Body along with two deadmau5-inspired decals:

Rocket League’s deadmau5-themed challenges and rewards are available until 20th August. Kicking off the next day, the third and final part of Season 19 will add new Pentathlon Tournaments featuring five different modes, plus new limited-time events (Echo Chase and Champions) and a Jump Jam limited-time mode.

Currently in its nineteenth season of live service updates, Rocket League is free-to-play on all major platforms, alongside the Rocket League Sideswipe mobile spin-off. While there is no native-current-gen version, it’s backwards compatible on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at 4K, with a 4K graphics upgrade a performance mode supporting 120fps.
